A Wedding in a Hurry: Part Five - The Beauty Plan
To get my skin looking its best for the big day (is erasing 5 years off my face too much to ask?!), I called on the experts at my favourite beauty salon, Lucy & The Powder Room. There I met with senior therapist, Ashley Skiffington, who after observing my skin (diagnosis: fine lines, uneven skin tone, dehydration), prescribed me with a treatment plan to undergo in salon, as well as a skincare programme to follow at home to ensure that my skin is both flawless and positively radiant head-to-toe, come my wedding day.
Skin
Over the 6 weeks before the wedding date, I will have a course of customised Omnilux treatment facials using the Synergie skincare range. Omnilux is a non-invasive light machine which is designed to trigger your skins natural healing function, stimulate collagen and tissue remodelling as well as boost elastin production. It is particularly effective at plumping, hydrating and soothing the skin so that fine lines and wrinkles are softened and the complexion is left glowing. Sounds good to me!
Body
A few days before the wedding I will be given the Sans Body Refiner treatment which involves being scrubbed head-to-toe, followed by a power packed skin-elixir and rich regenerative body cream. This will ensure silky smooth skin for the next step a day later - a spray tan. The salon uses an organic formula which works with your skins natural melanin so you can rest assured you won't look orange or too tanned.
Brows
Throughout the treatment plan my brows will be kept in good order so that they are looking perfectly groomed on the day.
Nails
The Powder Room takes group bookings which are perfect for pampering sessions with your bridal party. Seeing that I am not having bridesmaids, I will instead be booking in my wonderful Mum and sister to join me for a mani and pedi, so that our feet and hands will be looking as good as can be on the wedding day.
