In today's age of weddings, embracing the individual style of a couple is more important than adopting traditions of days gone by. And grooms suits are certainly no exception. More and more we're seeing downright awesome grooms showing true flair with their aisle style - favouring fitted chinos, sports jackets and quirky bow-ties over more old-school attire. Opting for no tie is also more than acceptable if the groom has a beautiful crisp shirt and the right attitude.

A less traditional approach works especially well with the rise of the 'boho' , paired-back style wedding that us Kiwi's are often favouring these days. So, if it fits with the theme of the wedding, why not let the groom be true to his personal style and opt for individuality and comfort over convention?

Luckily we have some excellent options for grooms right here in NZ. A favourite pick for the laid-back guys are a combination of beige chinos paired with a sports jackets and oxford shirt from Barkers. Alternatively, Working Style or Crane Brothers both have great off-the-rack options, as well as offering custom suits in more high-end fabrics . They also have quirky tie, bow tie and sports jacket options in more unique colour ways and fabrics such as velvet and denim.

Don't let the bride be the only one that stands out from the crowd.
